Xiao-Zhi Gao

Xiao-Zhi Gao received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1993 and 1996, respectively. He obtained his D.Sc. (Tech.) degree from the Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University), Finland in 1999. He is now working as a professor of data science at the University of Eastern Finland, Finland. Prof. Gao has published more than 500 technical papers on refereed journals and international conferences, and his current Google Scholar H-index is 56. His research interests are nature-inspired computing methods (e.g., neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary computing, swarm intelligence, and artificial immune systems) with their applications in optimization, data mining, machine learning, networking, control, signal processing, and industrial electronics.

Mukesh Prasad

Mukesh Prasad is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has made significant contributions to the fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Natural Language Processing. His research interests also span several emerging areas, including Big Data, Computer Vision, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Evolutionary Computation, and the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies are shaping next-generation applications across diverse sectors such as healthcare, biomedical science, agriculture, smart cities, education, marketing, and finance. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers in leading journals and conferences, including publications in high-impact venues such as IEEE, ACM Transactions, Springer Nature and Elsevier.

Tee Hui Teo

Tee Hui Teo graduated with Master of Engineering and Ph.D. from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological Univsersity in 2000 and 2009 respectively in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Since 1996, he was with Sharp, ST-Microelectronics, Intelligent Micro-Devices (Matsushita), and etc. as a senior Integrated Circuits (IC) designer, prior joining Institute of Microelectronics, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore as principle investigator in advanced IC design R&D. In 2010, he joined education sector for setting up both Analog and Digital IC design courses and laboratories for Technical University of Munich, Asia. He is currently with Singapore University of Technology and Design. His research interest are IC design, device characterization & modelling and design science education. T. Wenfeng Zheng

Wenfeng Zheng is an Associate Professor in the School of Automation at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), China, where he also serves as Director of the Machine Perception and Intelligent System Research Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a member of IEEE, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the American Association of Geographers (AAG). His research interests include cognitive science and artificial intelligence, machine learning and complexity, coupled human–natural systems, geographic information, and environmental science. He has published more than 160 papers and holds more than 50 Chinese invention patents and nine software copyrights. His professional service includes editorial board roles and participation in technical committees for international conferences.

Rui Araújo

University of Coimbra, Portugal

Rui Araújo (IEEE Senior Member) earned his Licenciatura in Electrical Engineering in 1991, his M.Sc. in Systems and Automation in 1994, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2000, all from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He subsequently obtained his Habilitation in Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Systems from the same university in 2024. He currently holds a tenured Associate Professor position in the university's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also helped establish the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR-Coimbra), where he serves as a senior researcher. His research focuses on computational intelligence, machine learning, intelligent control, fuzzy systems, neural networks, and optimization, with applications spanning robotics, intelligent vehicles, industrial automation, energy systems, and embedded and real-time systems. His editorial activities include service on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and Applied Sciences.

Sansanee Auephanwiriyakul

Chiang Mai University, Thailand

Sansanee Auephanwiriyakul (IEEE Senior Member) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She earned her B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Chiang Mai University in 1993, followed by an M.S. in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Computer Science in 2000 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. Her previous leadership roles at Chiang Mai University include Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Deputy Director of the Biomedical Engineering Institute. Her research focuses on computer vision, pattern recognition, digital image processing, neural networks, fuzzy systems, type-2 fuzzy set theory, and data fusion. She serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence. Her professional service also includes the role of Vice President for Member Activities of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society for the 2025–2026 term.

Manoj Kumar

Manoj Kumar is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering & Information Sciences. The core areas of my research are information security, digital forensics, Image processing and application of ML in digital data security. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science Engineering from The Northcap University, India and M.Sc. in Information Security and Digital Forensics from Technological University Dublin, Ireland (Formerly Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, Dublin). He published over 100 articles, 10 patents and more than 10 books with reputed publishers. Dr Kumar work in with various inter-disciplinary areas including data security, forensics, computer networks, image processing, computer vision, machine learning and IOT.
